My Spider-Man Is Black!
Our twin brother site, www.brandnewcool.com, posted this a few days ago. I don’t know if you’ve heard or not, but the new Ultimate Spider-Man is a half black, half hispanic teenager named Miles Morales. I don’t know why they didn’t just commit 100% to the ethnicity. He’s in New York. This kid is obviously Puerto Rican. Either way, it’s nice to see these comic books embracing diversity. All we need is a female version of The Watchmen’s Dr. Manhattan, and all bases will be covered. But she won’t. She’ll be completely nude.

Paula Deanda’s New Single – Besos. This Is Gonna Be On Repeat.
Hip hop head or not, you’re gonna have some Pop music in your ipod. Paula Deanda is back with a new, hot pop song smoothed out on the R&B tip. It’s called Besos and I’ve watched it about 30 times already. It’s just a teaser, but you can see Paula rock out with First Team at Endless Music in San Antonio, TX on September 1st.

Pac-Div is one of those groups that still keeps me optimistic about where hip hop music is headed. Their latest mixtape, Mania, is outa here. It’s not too often you can let a hip hop CD just run from beginning to end. Shout out to Pac-Div. I’m looking forward to working with them some day.

The Dark Knight Rises Teaser Trailer. Because It’s Batman!
I know it’s been out for a minute, but I thought i should take a moment to establish that I’m a fan of cinema as well as music. And anything Batman related just automatically overrules most music related content. Side note: I’ve literally watched it dozens of times and I still don’t know what the hell Commissioner Gordon is saying. I think he’s just making fun of the way Batman talks. He better chill out with that. Batman is killing dudes, now.
